OUR OFFERING
We work with local small businesses with technical needs that translate to real-world projects that our students are able to solve thereby giving them real world work experience.
These projects are meant to tackle community problems and provide a community service. Black Edge Consulting makes no revenue from the projects our students and mentors provide, we instead wish to give back to the community.
Each project is curated and designed to help the community the student resides in and often will teach skills relating to DevOps, Software Engineering, Application Deployment, and Agile methodologies.
Our students learn via remote virtual tutoring in sessions that are tracked using Agile methodologies and patterns so our students experience what a day in the life feels like.
All students will engage in regular meetings each week for planning sessions, work sessions, and review sessions. These sessions follow the expectations of Agile Design and project management standards so that our students learn first hand what the day-to-day life of software engineer is like.
